XIESHENG 3-Phase Separator
The most common example of a 3-phase separator is an inlet production separation whose function is to separate a raw feed product consisting of oil condensate, water and natural gas from an underground oil and gas deposit.
The illusion shown above is a fairly typical example of a 3-phase separator incorporating a Feed inlet device, a Settle plate pack and a Vane mist eliminator/demister. The benefit of installing each of these separation enhancement devices as well as other fixed internals such as calming baffles is governed by the feed condition, system properties and the degree of separation required. However, the outlet weir is a key design feature of a 3-phase separator and is necessary to skim off the settled light liquid phase (usually oil or condensate) into a separate collection compartment.
Also included in the separator shown in the illusion is a spray bar assembly (Sand Jetting System) which may be necessary for the occasional flushing out of any solids accumulation at the bottom of the vessel. A similar spray bar system may also need to be installed in some vapor-liquid separators inapplication such as oil and gas inlet separators.
